This
Acadian version of Low fat chicken and dumplings combines the comforting
flavors of carrots, potatoes and chicken to create a complete fall met. The remaining - if any - are even better on the following day, as is the case with most soups and stews.

Ingredients for this low fat stew chicken recipes
Chicken stew:
- 3 lb (1.4 kg) of chicken, skinless
- 10 cups (2.5 L) water
- 2 onion (s), large (se) (s), chopped (e) (s)
- 2 c. tablespoons (30 ml) butter
- 1 c. tablespoon (15 ml) flour
- 6 apple (s) of land, large (se) (s), peeled (e) (s) and cut (e) (s) diced
- 1 c. tablespoon (15 ml) salt
- 1 c. tsp (5 mL) pepper
- 1 c. tbsp (15 mL) savory
- 2 core (s), medium (ne) (s), peeled (e) (s) and cut (e) (s)
Low fat stew chicken recipes for grandfathers:
- 1 cup (250 ml) flour
- 1 c. tsp (5 mL) salt
- 1 c. tablespoon (15 ml) of yeast
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) water, cold (e) (s)
Preparation
Low fat stew chicken recipes
- In a large pot, simmer chicken 30 minutes.
- Remove chicken and let cool slightly. Keep the broth.
- put onion in butter for 1 minute in another pan.
- Add flour and cook 1-2 minutes.
- Bone the chicken and cut into pieces.
- Add all ingredients in the broth and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Low fat stew chicken recipes for Grandfathers
- In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
- Gradually add cold water.
- for the mixture, a spoonful at a time, on the stew and let stand 7 minutes before it is ready.
